Moon explains switch to PAOK
Bafana Bafana right back Bryce Moon has revealed he joined PAOK FC because he was not enjoying his football at Panathinaikos anymore. The 23-year-old made the switch to the Thessaloniki-based side on a season-long loan, after spending a year with the Greens.
"I decided to go on loan, because I need to play to my strengths. I need to enjoy my game a lot more," he told Football365.co.za.
The former Ajax Cape Town star expects to be granted more freedom going forward at his new club.
"I'm a right back who likes to attack and that was not happening for me at Panathinaikos. I have noticed that PAOK play more to my strengths and when their coach Fernando Santos showed interest in me, I accepted the offer, because I like the way they play their football. I'm so excited about this move, because I know I'm going to enjoy my football at PAOK.
"They are a big club with a huge fan base too and I'm looking forward to exploring the new environment."
Meanwhile, Moon added that the injury which has ruled him out of Bafana's international friendlies against Germany and Ireland is not serious.
"I'm already in camp with PAOK and the doctor will check the ankle later today. But it is not serious," he concluded.
