Hello, 16 september we play in your city against your team. I shall visit that game to support my team AZ. We stay a couple of days in your city and we hope we can drink a couple of beers with you.

Welcome to our forum AZ_rules!

You shall be welcome in Thessaloniki.

Dutch people are more famous for Heineken and... milk. You export a lot of Heineken in Greece and you drink milk with soup, so I guess it is a pretty good description  ;)
Anyway, PAOK fans prefer to drink RETSINA before games (pretty good cheap white wine) and I' sure you'll get your hands on a bottle like that.

Say, were Alkmaar fans happy sad, indifferent regarding the draw against PAOK? What are the latest news up there?

Take care,

D.

Hello ruleaz and welcome to our board!

Here's a link for various hotels: http://www.saloniki.org/en/hotel/lux.htm

The list has mainly the "famous" hotels, but it is a good starting point. Thessaloniki has as well a Holiday Inn if you want a foreign chain...

Thanks for the adress and the quick reaction.
Now it can`t be a problem to find a hotel.

What do the PAOK supporters expect from the game?
Do the PAOK supporters come to Alkmaar for the return?

1. No problemo for the address. Be sure you stay more than a noght in Thessaloniki so you enjoy the night life... Bring a gilr or...two  ;) Oh, and try to negotiate prices with the hotels.

2. PAOK fans we are for the moment not caring much about the game against Alkmaar. We are more concerned with the incapability of our management and the "weird" lineups of our trainer. Our trainer was probably the most loved trainer that ever came to our club, but since then many PAOK fans feel "cold" towards him. Basically the situation is not good in our team. Bottom line is that I think PAOK fans don't really CARE about the UEFA anymore. We wanted to play in Champions League and we were out of it in the most humiliating way, and this we cannot forgive.

3. PAOK fans don't need to "come" from Greece. There are PLENTY of PAOK fans ALL AROUND THE WORLD. Basically you live in a...PAOK WORLD  :P
See you in Alkmaar!!!

It's "neuken in de keuken" (fucking in the kitchen). We have very beautifull dutch girls in our country but the most girls don't like soccer, I think that not many dutch girl will travel to Thessaloniki. Are there many greece girls in Thessaloniki? Also we have heard that Thessaloniki have many students, is that true. What are the places to be in Thessa where we can party?

I heard of RWDM, but they were taken out of competition a few years ago, and started 1 year later in the lowest Belgian league (8th level).
Some AZ supporters have friendly connections with Lierse SK now, because it's the former club of our Belgian striker Stein Huysegems.
