Title: PAOK in Poland
Post by: Krissu on December 24, 2008, 03:19:32
Greetings!

I'm a PAOK fan from Poland. Me and a friend of mine intend to create a polish-language site abput PAOK.
Unfortunately we don't speak greek. So we're looking for a english language site with news about the club. It would be best if the site is updated every day, but the one with most important news will do.. at least for now  ;)
Thanks in advance!

PAOK EVERYWHERE.

About Bociek - I do not remember him. I was 12 when he played here.
The other two I do.
Kukiełka played for my Wisła Krakσw. It was two years after he left PAOK, but he didn't make a career here.
Pisz on the other hand I remember very well, he was a great playmaker. I admit that even though he played for our rival Legia Warszawa . They qualified for Champions League and played PAO in quaterfinal.

Sznaucner plays now in PAOK. To be honest I forgot he existed until two years ago when Wisła played Iraklis in UEFA Cup.

EDIT:
There was a goalkeeper - Radosław Majdan. He used to play for Wisła too.

You could try to come in Thessaloniki and see PAOK, the Toympa Stadium and the city. The atmosphere is unbelievable! You will love it!

Do u know Thodoris Zagorakis? (ex player and leader of PAOK and Greek National Team, MVP of European Chanpionship 2004 and now president of PAOK)

Do you know that you can be a member of PAOK by buying shares? All fans of PAOK in Greece and Germany and everywhere do it.

Derby match against Iraklis in 2007.
I remember it was September, the end of the month to be precise, because we went back to Poland few days later.

Nothing special. Just about the situation in general. That all (the ultrascene etc.) is little bit more radical and violent than in Germany for example  ;)

Hm...
What do You mean it's more radical and violent?

I assure you it's not so voilent (or radical) compared to Serbia or Croatia.
But yeah.. Germans, Englishmen etc... can be a little.. surprised :D

Hehe...yibb. That the guys cut eachother legs with axes or machetes, attack themselve with acid and try to burn other rivals with petrol is little bit surprising even in Greece I think. At least that were some of the stories about Poland which my mate told me.  :o

Acid? Petrol? Urban Legends :)

There were few cases of stabbing by knife.. But that doesn't happen every day.

OK, interesting. I'll ask the guy about facts.  ;) Was just the stuff which he told me... ???

But for example in Lodz it isnt that they are divided in quarters. I have been for the last time in Poland in 1997 (for football matters, there was an bad awake in Slubice some years later but thats another story... ;D ;D ;D), so that I'm personally not so up-to-date.  ;)

In Warsaw they have different rules about fighting...no weapons carried while they are meeting each other!Unfortunately polonia doesn't have so much fans if you compare with the legia fans(i was living close to the legia stadium)!
I had couple of stickers around the city center but the legia fans didn't like it so much probably... >:(

I ment in areas of the different supporters. Btw, I asked him today, he ment its just what he heard from polish guys (the guy has sth. like a Poland-mania...he may were on nearly every ground down to the 9th league may be.  ;)
The one with leag was so far he heard in the middle of the 90ies in Krakow, that with the burning happened between Zabrze and Gliwice. Anyway. Even that I think, that "sometimes knifing" is little bit euphemistic.  ;)

But so or so I'm against this things into football. Trouble is OK, but when people start to kill or wound eachother with weapons something moves into a wrong path...

I'm not sure if I understand what You mean.

I ment in areas of the different supporters.
In Krakσw there is one district in which there are no set areas of certain supproters.
On one street Wisla fans live, 100 meters further Cracovia fans. And there is a 3rd club - Hutnik.
Real Wild West...
Btw, I asked him today, he ment its just what he heard from polish guys (the guy has sth. like a Poland-mania...he may were on nearly every ground down to the 9th league may be.  ;)

Never heard of that situation. Anyway I don't know much about Silesian region. The most known rivalries that's all. They have waaay to many clubs there. 5 in our Ekstraklasa (on 16 teams overall!).

They rather don't like us, we don't like them to much either :)
Anyway. Even that I think, that "sometimes knifing" is little bit euphemistic.  ;)
What I meant was it is not something that happen on daily basis, on every corner.
But so or so I'm against this things into football. Trouble is OK, but when people start to kill or wound eachother with weapons something moves into a wrong path...
Same here...

PAOK zainteresowany Smolarkiem

And my translation:

PAOK interested in Smolarek

Few weeks ago greek media wrote about Euzebiusz Smolarek is about to join Aris. Few weeks have passed since those news and it seems they've lost interest in this transfer. Recently they've signed
onthe forward player - Sebastian Abreu from Real Sociedad

Now new option for Ebi arose. Another team from Salonica wants to sign him. This time it's PAOK, where polish defender - Mirosław Sznaucner plays.

As you see nothing special.

Krissu, PAOK doesnt have very good relationship with Satander, because we are involved in another case with them (we want to "steal" Vitolo from them).

So it is very unlikely that they will give us Smolarek on loan.
Title: Απ: PAOK in Poland

Smolarek is out of club.

Maybe now, that PAOK doesn't have to ask Santander about the transfer?
