I intend to make a trip to Salonika on that weekend in March (have to watch a PAOK match of course....), but unfortunately the internet sources are contradicting each other, and I don't have a clue about who we are about to play. One source says that AEK is our opponent, another claims that there will be a Saloniki Derby againat Iraklis on that day.... can you help me?

hey...after looking the programs that paokworld has...normally we play against Iraklis, because with AEk we play at 30.03.2003. If nothing has changed, you will see our PAOKARA (lucky you...and not me :( ) against Iraklis.
Take care...

Unionisti82, on the 16th March PAOK is programmed to play Prodeftiki in Athens that's should everything go to plan and the Greek FA don't suspend the league for no reason as they do every year.
Bythe way Unionisti82, I visited Vienna in October last year for 2 days when I left Greece. It's a nice city and I just wanted to ask you are there many Greeks living in Austria.

Yes, according to my notes and schedule in the PAOK forum at Phantis (http://forums.phantis.com/sports/index.php?s=86e2a1ab5fb8f576e9f610c130d4cae0&act=SF&f=8) on that day we play at Prodevtiki.
Here is our schedule for March:
02-MAR-03: PAOK THESSALONIKI - Akratitos Nea Liosia - A Ethniki - Toumba Stadium
09-MAR-03: PAOK THESSALONIKI - Iraklis Thessaloniki - A Ethniki - Toumba Stadium
12-MAR-03: gay-ros Piraeus - PAOK THESSALONIKI - Greek Cup - Rizoupoli Stadium
16-MAR-03: Proodevtiki - PAOK THESSALONIKI - A Ethniki - Korydallos Stadium
23-MAR-03: PAOK THESSALONIKI - AEK Athens - A Ethniki - Toumba Stadium
-
Then the following week after the AEK game there is no league action due to the national team playing a qualifying game. I'd rather play AEK before the national team plays rather than after.

Damn, I'm totally confused right now. Against Prrodeftiki would be shitty, cause I wouldn't have the possibility to watch the match though I'm in Greece........
I do not like Vienna. The people (and the football teams ;)) are not very likeable in my opnion. Well, there are a few Greeks in Vienna, Linz, Salzburg etc. But unfortunately the number of Greeks is not too high. There are many more Turks than Greeks in Austria. :(
F*** Vienna! ;)
-
I guess Vienna is like Athens then. Everybody hates it.
Actually when I went to Austria what I found out there were a few Croatians and Asians living in Vienna. There are a lot of Turks hey. Actually when I was in Greece my Uncle from Germany said that 6 million Turks live in Germany. I was shocked when I heard that.
From memory didn't Casino Salsburg make UEFA CUP FINAL in 1994 when they lost to Inter Milan and they also played AEK in the champions league in 1995.
Unionsti82, keep the PAOK flag flying in Austria.

Well, it's even worse than Athens, because Vienna has a population of more than 1,5 million people, and the second biggest Asutrian city has a population of 300000, therefore the guys from Vienna, claim that there city is the only important thing in our country. Nevrthesless, the best football Fans are in Salzburg...... ;)
Yeah, there are man, many Turks, but they are not really liked here, because they usually act like Lunatics.
Your memory about Salzburg is very good. Now the "Casinso" has been dropped in our name, and the "fan society" has completely changed in the last 5 years. Most of "us" do not really like Panathinaikos because of their friendship with our archrival of Rapid Vienna. *xexe*
Though my colours are meneksedi&aspro in Austria, I'll always carry the Dikefalo in my heart. ;D

apparenltly the same is said about the Turks in Germany as well. There not liked there either.

Wel, they aren't liked anywhere, are they? ;)

Yes I know. By the way which part of Greece is your father from.

My father used to live in the state of Drama when he was a child, but moved to Salonika later on. And he watched a lot of PAOK matches at Toumba in the early seventies. ;)

He watched PAOK in the good old days when we had the best team ever.

Yeah, hopefully we'll be able to see glorious matches like in the old days again.
