There are great expectations for these players both among our fans and our coaching staff. Amir has already played in the second half of the Greek league leaving a good impression for the years to come. On the contrary Shikabala has not yet played a single official game with our team, due to the reprimand of the FIFA for signing a contract with two teams simultaneously. Neverthless, the myth of the talent of sikampala emerges every now and then (mainly because he is known as a player with  established technical skills and also because nobody has seen him in action so the enthousiasm feeds back every time someone refers to him).

For pictures and videos, i consider it rather difficult to find something, at least for the time being as it is rather premature.


Housein Mumin is of a Greek nationality player, but his name and origin stems from his Muslim identity thats why it sounds familiar to you.

Megahed has been quite good since he came to our team. Definately lacks expirience and has to control his temper in a better manor. I think almost all of us like him and there is (hopefully) plenty of room to improve further. At the bottom line, I 'd say a good investment  .
Shikabala ? Today was his first (friendly) match and reports seem to be quite possitive about him. Hope he stays with both feet on the ground cause there are huge expectations about him. Wait and see, I guess...
Husein Mumin is a Greek-moslim citizen.

Greetings from me too my Egyptian friend...
MEGAHEAD has had an exceptional second half of the season last year, noone expected him to perform that good, and he has been used as a defensive midfield instead of a center back. He played almost all the games after he came. To realise the extent of his success, he has participated in an 'all-star game' of the greek championship in May. I really hope he keeps up like this, he is expected to start in the first team this season. Is it true that he wasn't playing for 18 months because he was found doped? In any case he's strong.

As for SHIKABALA, I think he's also meant to start many games this season, but he is a 19 years old player and he has to keep his brains to his head if he is going to succeed. There is much expectation of him, but I am not all that optimistic when a lot of hope is put on a 19 year old player...I wish him all the best.

What are your estimates of the two players?? What were their achievments and reputation before they left Egypt??

Despite he didn't play a single official match yet, the fans, technical staff, critics and players see Shikabala as top talent and gave him a nick name "the little Pharaoh".


Greek press posted a massive article on the new PAOK player Shikabala. The article included opinions from the coach, a retired PAOK player and fans on the young Egyptian. EP presents a translated summary of the article in addition to some opinions by PAOK fans on the young Egyptian being collected by EP's reporters.

The article on Shikabala started by saying how impressive he's been so far. A retired PAOK player ( Giorgos Skarta'dos ) who was a teammate with Hossam Hassan when he played for PAOK says that Shikabala is better than Hassan and then the coach is saying that he's a very good young player but he must keep his head calm and his feet on the ground.

The article then goes on about how Shikabala's family and the Zamalek fans are always reading the newspapers about him and how Shikabala is having a nice time in Thessaloniki hanging out with Amir Azmy Megahed and being under the protection of PAOK's Yasser Zeinou who is also Egyptian but has been with the team for more than 5 years.

zlatan can you tell us your oppinion about sikabala?


from my persective, from what i have seen so far, he is almost impressive. but we speak only for friendly matches. my main concern has to do especially with his reaction to the rahter ... cruel game of some of the defenders he will have to face. do you have any idea about his reaction to such non-fair play game? cause often  players of his techinical calibre seem to rather feel "scared" in tough games ...
